Happy Monday! Yeah, I know Mondays are rough, but hopefully some of the news below will give you something to smile about.

$10 Uber Credit & $30 Discount

Amex Sync and Uber are offering a $10 discount from October 8 – December 31, 2014. All you need to do is to sync an Amex credit card to your Uber account, tweet using #AmexUber, and then use your Amex card for payment. Learn more about Amex Sync deals here. You can find the full terms and conditions for this offer here.

In addition to the $10 credit, if you’re new to Uber, you can still earn up to $30 in a free ride for signing up.

I love Uber. It’s my go-to now instead of taxis. You can find a driver through the app and see your fare quote before deciding to get picked up. The cars are cleaner, the service is better, and you don’t have to worry about tipping or looking for cash since payment is handled through the app. It’s a glorious thing.

Opt in For Hyatt & Mlife Reciprocal Benefits

Last week, I received an email from Mlife (MGM rewards program) about renewing my Mlife membership. Mlife and Hyatt partnered up last year, so I was able to get Mlife Platinum membership based on my Hyatt Diamond status. But that has run out, so I had to sync my accounts again to maintain my Platinum status with Mlife.

All you have to do to get your status matched is opt in via this link. So easy. As you all know, I’m a Hyatt man and I really enjoy this relationship they have with MGM properties. It was nice to enjoy a few extra perks at the Bellagio when Jordan and I stayed there a couple of months ago.

Ink 70,000 Still Live (Now Expired)

In case you missed it, I announced last Friday that the limited time being updated wasn’t ending on October 10th. I’ve been told that we will find out this week when it will be going away, but my guess is October 20th, 2014.

Air Tran & Southwest Integration

Southwest and AirTran are in the final stages of their integration. All Air Tran credits will be converted to Southwest Rapid Rewards points by November 2, 2104. According to the mailer I received, October 14th is the last day for you to update your Air Tran contact info for transfers: “October 14 will be the last day to update your contact information in your A+ Rewards account. If you have a need to update your account information after that date so it matches your secure flight information, please call 1-800-AIR-TRAN between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. ET.

You can transfer your Air Tran credits yourself through this link. I’m looking forward to integration being complete, especially because Southwest is taking over the non-stop from Austin to Cancun in mid November. That non-stop may start becoming a go-to for me.
